FICPA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION WELCOMES BINITA MEHTA AS 2026-27 CHAIR

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) Scholarship Foundation was proud to welcome Binita Mehta, CPA, as its 2026-27 Chair on July 1, 2026. 

Mehta is an audit partner at PwC in Miami, with extensive experience in serving both public and private companies in the Consumer Industrial Products and Services sector. 

"Having worked full-time through school, I know firsthand the power of scholarships and the impact they make on a student’s journey," said Mehta, who earned both her bachelor’s and master’s in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. "Scholarships transform lives and shape the future of our profession. The FICPA Scholarship Foundation is doing remarkable work, and I am honored to help pay it forward to the next generation of CPAs." 

In a 20-year career, Mehta has led companies through initial public offerings, internal controls optimization, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, public and private debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, transition accounting, and business combinations. At PwC, she has a passion for teaching, coaching and providing guidance to younger staff. She has led courses inside the firm related audit approach and methodology, internal controls, fraud and the use of research tools. 

“I am excited to partner with Binita in the year ahead, as we work together to fortify the future of the FICPA Scholarship Foundation,” said FICPA Chief Financial Officer Kristin High. “With our Scholars at the forefront, we are helping to secure the future of the CPA profession in Florida.”  

Mehta is an active member of the FICPA Council and has served on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees since 2022.
