Eligible applicants will meet the following requirements: • Full-time or part-time college student (as defined by your college/university) • Majoring in Accounting or a related subject • Attending any partnering college or university in the State of Florida with an accredited Accounting Program (you can find our partnering list HERE)(https://www.ficpascholarshipfoundation.org/universities) • Be an active member of the FICPA (it is free for students - Join HERE)(https://share.hsforms.com/2M8Gt2EjXTPqClINga9SAIgsg323) • Have at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA and at least a 3.0 Upper-level Accounting GPA at the time of submission. • Must be at least a rising college senior or Graduate student with at least one Upper-Division Accounting course at the time of submission. • Must be planning to sit for the CPA exam and be actively working towards fulfilling the requirements for certification in Florida. • Must indicate a desire to work in Florida. • Must be a citizen of the United States or hold permanent residency status.

Applicants will be asked to provide: • Contact and academic information • Transcripts • 300-word personal statement • Name and Email of two individuals who have agreed to submit a recommendation

These are universities that have partnered with the Foundation and are accredited institutions in Florida and are recognized by the Florida Board of Accountancy for the purposes of qualifications to take the CPA Exam under Section 473, Florida Statutes. No. You must be a rising Senior or Graduate student in the following Fall semester to be considered.

You must be a citizen of the United States or hold permanent residency status. Student Visas unfortunately do not meet the residency requirements.

Yes. You may apply for the scholarship for as many semesters as you would like. However, you are only eligible to be awarded a scholarship up to 2 times.

Yes. As long as you are enrolled at one of our partnering schools (https://www.ficpascholarshipfoundation.org/universities)you may qualify for a scholarship.

Yes. You may log in to update your application after submission before the March 31 application deadline.

A strong recommendation goes a long way. Ensure yours are from mentors, professors, or employers who know you well enough to provide detailed reasoning as to why you deserve a scholarship. Recommendations from relatives or friends carry little to no weight during judging.

Applications are reviewed by our Volunteer Committee in April. After the Committee has made their selection, results are taken to the Board of Trustees to be voted on. Various components of the application will be taken into consideration – including but not limited to academic achievement, GPA, extracurricular involvement, personal statement, and recommendations.

Scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,000 – These amounts are based on full-time enrollment and are subject to change for students enrolled part-time.

Scholarship funds are limited to tuition, books, and fees.

All applicants will be notified the first week of July via email.

Awarded scholars will be required to submit their Official Transcripts to receive scholarship funding. Scholarship checks will be mailed directly to a recipient's school during the Fall semester.
