Endowed Scholarship Details

We are grateful to have so many individuals and companies that are interested in continuing to give to students in perpetuity.
YOU MUST read all criteria on each endowment carefully. Full requirements are located on the application.
If you do not meet the criteria then your application will not be accepted.

Tommye Barie Scholarship - $1,200


Scholarship must be used for registration to the AICPA Women’s Global Leadership Summit. Amount: $1,200 Number: 2 Opens: March 1, 2021 Closes: June 1, 2021 Announcement: July 1, 2021 Eligibility Requirements

  • A female Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida
  • Must have CPA license for less than 8 years
  • A member in good standing with the Florida Institute of CPAs
  • Reside in the state of Florida
  • Required to attend the AICPA Women’s Global Leadership Summit
  • Submit a personal statement about the importance of this scholarship to you (no more than 500 words)
  • Submit leadership statement about your engagement within your schooling, career, community (no more than 500 words)




James Wilcox Scholarship - $5,000


Amount: $5,000 Number: 5 Opens: January 1, 2021 Closes: March 31, 2021 Announcement: July 2, 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be African American
  • Must be in 5th year of accounting
  • Be a full time student (defined as 12 hours undergrad and 9 hours graduate) or part time students (defined as 6 hours undergrad and 3 hours graduate)
  • Majoring in accounting
  • Attending any college or university in the State of Florida that is a partner with the FICPA Scholarship Foundation
  • Be a member of the FICPA (Free for students - register today)
  • Have a 3.0 Cumulative GPA and a 3.0 GPA in Upper-Division Accounting (3000 courses or above)
  • Must be a 4th or 5th student in upper-division accounting courses at the time the scholarship is received.
  • Must be planning to sit for the CPA exam and be working towards fulfilling the requirements for certification in Florida.
  • Should indicate a desire to practice in the field of accounting as opposed to other disciplines and must indicate a desire to work in Florida.
  • Must be citizens of the United States or hold permanent residency status




Georgia Nelidsky Scholarship - $3,500


Amount: $3,500 Number: 1 Opens: January 1, 2021 Closes: March 31, 2021 Announcement: July 2, 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in the Masters of Accountancy program
  • Be a full time student (defined as 12 hours undergrad and 9 hours graduate) or part time students (defined as 6 hours undergrad and 3 hours graduate)
  • Majoring in accounting
  • Attending any college or university in the State of Florida that is a partner with the FICPA Scholarship Foundation
  • Be a member of the FICPA (Free for students - register today)
  • Have a 3.0 Cumulative GPA and a 3.0 GPA in Upper-Division Accounting (3000 courses or above)
  • Must be a 4th or 5th student in upper-division accounting courses at the time the scholarship is received.

George Shierling Scholarship - $3,000

  • Be a full time student (defined as 12 hours undergrad and 9 hours graduate) or part time students (defined as 6 hours undergrad and 3 hours graduate)
  • Majoring in accounting
